Your child’s school has partnered with The Center for Oral Health's Early Smiles California program to provide dental screenings to your child at no charge to you! The service will be performed by a licensed dental hygienist. The hygienist will screen your child’s teeth, provide a fluoride varnish treatment to help prevent tooth decay, and
navigate your child to dental care (if needed). If your child is eligible, the hygienist will complete the Kindergarten Oral Health Assessment form and submit the form to your child’s school. You will receive your child’s screening results. Your child will also receive a free toothbrush kit.
It's open to all 9-12 students at all 3 sites. Here is the link to the consent form: https://5il.co/2k9k2

Congratulations to Tori Geist & Caitlin Montgomery, our Girls Basketball Co-Head Coaches.
Not only were they voted Coaches of the Year by the Shasta Cascade League. The dynamic duo was also just announced as the Northern Section CIF Girls Basketball Coaches of the Year!
This makes the pair the first Trinity coaches to receive this honor in the 32-year history of the award, dating back to 1992.
This award is voted on by members of the Chico Enterprise-Record, Red Bluff Daily News, Redding Record Searchlight, Marysville Appeal-Democrat, & the national sports publication MaxPreps.
Pictured here is the Varsity Girls Basketball team and coaches with the TAUSD School Board, who acknowledged and honored Coaches Geist and Montgomery at the board meeting this week.

Hinu Smith, a member of the Ho Chunk Nation from Wisconsin, recently visited THS to present to students in Caitlin Montgomery’s and Tom Williams’s History classes, as well as Richard Ferguson’s AP Government class. During her presentation, students were captivated and actively engaged in discussions surrounding tribal sovereignty and its relationship to the federal government. Smith's insight into her heritage provided students with a deeper understanding of indigenous perspectives and the ongoing struggle for recognition and autonomy. Through interactive dialogue, students gained valuable insights into the complexities of indigenous governance and the importance of respecting tribal sovereignty.
In another significant development, Hinu Smith had the honor of meeting with Chairman Chief Sonny Hayward of the “Nor Rel Muck Wintu” tribe. This meeting provided an opportunity for both individuals to share personal life experiences and tribal histories, fostering unity and mutual respect between their respective communities. Through the facilitation of TAUSD, including Dr. Corey Helgesen, THS Principal and Associate Superintendent, and Mr. Jaime Green, Superintendent of TAUSD, these connections were made possible, demonstrating the commitment to fostering meaningful relationships and cultural understanding within the broader community.

Hello Trinity families! Every year our district works on revising and updating the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). This plan asks school districts to gather input from students, teachers, parents, community members, and public agencies to determine the goals, actions, and budget priorities for the district. Please take a few minutes to give your input on this important process.
