Local Control and Accountability Plan
What is the LCAP?
The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is:
A three year plan
Describes the goals, actions, services and expenditures of the district
All to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities
The LCAP process provides an opportunity for districts to share their stories of how, what, and why programs and services are put in place to meet their local needs.
Why is it important?
The LCAP helps ensure that our local school district – not the State – has the authority to spend precious resources in a way that is better aligned with the needs of our own students and local community.
Prioritizes improving outcomes for students in many different areas besides just test scores, such as attendance, graduation rate, parent involvement, student engagement, suspensions, etc.
Provides opportunities for input from all stakeholders (students, parents, community, staff) on the district’s educational priorities and budgetary spending.
All information is available online for the public to review.
Who can participate?
All community members are encouraged to participate, especially parents of school aged children and children themselves. You can get involved by:
